  1. 1. After Nick's date with Jordan, he saw Gatsby wandering outside his house because he wanted to know if Nick would help him with his plan to meet up with Daisy.
    2. I think Gatsby decided to walk outside in the rain when Daisy came in because he did not want to look desperate to see her and wanted it to be a coincedence.
    3. Before Gatsby became wealthy, he was very poor because his parents were poor as well. He was unhappy with his social class, so he ran away and ran into Dan Cody, a very wealthy man, which left him $ once he died, although he never received it.
    4. With his wealth, Gatsby wishes to impress Daisy since that was the reason why she didnt like him at first, since he was poor. He only wishes to prove to her that he is wealthy and can offer her a luxurious life.

    1. 1. What surprised Nick, after his date with Jordan, was to see Gatsby's manor brightly lit, however, unoccupied. While Nick was walking home, Gatsby startled him by walking up to him from across the lawn. Gatsby, who is obviously very wary and desperate, tries to please Nick in any way possible. His ultimate purpose was to persuade Nick to invite Daisy over.
      2. On the rainy morning of the destined meeting between Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan, Gatsby becomes increasingly nervous. he also believes that their once beloved relationship can not be returned to its former glory. These prospects, which is his nervousness and sorrow, contributed to Gatsby's sudden walk in the pouring rain.
      3. Jay Gatsby was born in an impoverished family in North Dakota, and attended college at St. Olaf's in Minnesota. However, he dropped out due to the humiliating job of being a janitor, in order to pay off his tuition. While he was trying to catch Salmon and dig up calms on Lake Superior, he warned an incoming yacht of an incoming storm. The owner of the yacht, a wealthy man named Dan Cody, was grateful and allowed Gatsby the chance to work for him. This was how Gatsby became addicted to luxury. After Cody's death, he was supposed to inherit $25,000, however, never received it
      4. With Gatsby's grand fortune, he wishes to make Daisy delighted and pleased for what he accomplished. He believes that his wealth can restore his relationship with Daisy, even though Nick disagrees completely.
