The Great Gatsby Travel Tracer Chapter 6

The Great Gatsby
Travel Tracer
Chapter 6
1. A reporter travels to Gatsby's manor to interview him, because he is the latest topic that is circulating New York.
2. Nick, truly understanding of Gatsby's past, interrupts the reporter to reveal the complete truth.
3. Gatsby's real name was James Gatz, who was born to an impoverished family in North Dakota.
4. He dropped out of St. Olaf's college in Minnesota, because the part-time job he was upholding was pure humiliation. However, that janitorial job was necessary to pay his tuition.
5. As he was fishing for Salmon and digging up calms on Lake Superior, he warned a yacht  about an incoming storm.
6. The owner of the yacht, a wealthy man maned Dan Cody, was grateful and allowed Gatsby to work for him as his personal assistant.
7. Cody renamed James Gatz, Jay Gatsby
8. One of Gatsby's jobs was to watch after Cody when he was drunk, and that gave him a certain respect for being sober.
9. Gatsby was supposed to inherit twenty five thousand dollars after Cody's death, however, never received it.
10. Nick hasn't seen Gatsby or Dasiy after the reunion.
11. When Nick stops by Gatsby's house one day, he is surprised to see his friend Tom there. Tom carries a disdainful attitude towards Gatsby, partially because of his lack of social grace and his close connection to Daisy.
12. On the following Saturday night, Daisy and Nick have an unpleasant time at another one of Gatsby's elaborate parties.
13. Gatsby becomes depressed when he discovers that Daisy is not having a jovial time. He wants their relationship to rekindle, like when they were in Louisville.
14. Nick reminds him that he cannot recreate the past. Gatsby, distraught, claims that he can achieve anything with money.
