Chapters 5
1. Nick comes home from his date with Jordan Baker and sees Jay Gatsby approching him from his lawn.
2. Gatsby, desperate and anxious, tries to please Nick in any way possible, because he desires Nick to arrange a reunion with his beloved Daisy.
3. Nick tells Gatsby that he is willing to help him with the plan.
4. Overjoyed, Gatsby offers various forms of compensation. Some examples contain free grass/lawn cutting and opportunities to make money. However, Nick declines on the offers.
5. On the rainy day of the destined reunion with Daisy, Gatsby is feeling nervous and sends a gardener to cut Nick's lawn, as initially promised.
6. Gatsby, filled with anxiety, sorrow, and longing, arrives at the reunion late soaking wet, because he was walking in the rain.
7. At first, the reunion was very awkward, however, Daisy and Gatsby were completely revived and full of life, once Nick left the room for an hour and thirty minutes.
8. Gatsby invites Nick and Daisy to his mansion and shows off his luxurious and valuable possessions, particularity to Daisy.
9. Gatsby tells Daisy how he constantly dreams of their future happiness together.
10. Gatsby calls Klipspringer, a strange person the inhabits his manor, to play the paino.
11. He plays the song "Ain't We Got Fun?"
12. Nick leaves them alone together.
